Halloween Decorations

Halloween is one of the most iconic holidays out there. There's plenty of reasons to be excited when Halloween comes around. The costumes, candy, and social gatherings are all fun ways to celebrate. In my opinion, one of the best things to do during Halloween time is putting up decorations. I love the theme of Halloween. Spooky, scary, and even sassy decor inside or outside your home is a fun way to express the eerie joy of this holiday. A little too much fun, though, as spending over $120 at Michaels seemed to be necessary for all of the decorations.

Halloween is special because one of the main goals is to scare and yet it brings joy all the same. I especially love the colors that follow this theme. The orange, black, and dark purple or blue to compliment the scary nature. The leaves on the trees seem to go well with this color scheme, adding ambience to the holiday this time of year. The weather lately seems to be moving a little fast. Dropping to a near 40 degrees in the mornings and night time. Decorating for Halloween can draw out so much creativity. There are a plethora of creatures at your disposal. Skeletons, ghosts, ghouls, spiders, and of course, bats. The front lawn of a home becomes a blank canvas for a story that can be told by decorating with props, webs, graves, and ghosts.

Ironically, the spooky atmosphere created will actually feel more inviting to the prospective trick-or-treaters. Who doesn't love to admire some of the work many folks put into creating their very own haunted murder house? Decorating for Halloween is up to par with some of the other holidays such as Christmas. Stores like Walmart or Target will have aisle upon aisle reserved for countless jack-o-laterns, witch brooms, and blood-shot eyeballs. Not to mention the countless costume of your favorite slasher movie killer or silly animal. The possibilities are endless when it comes to Halloween creativity and decorations. I personally love this holiday due to the amount of self expression that is present when feeling festive. It only comes once a year and it is not an opportunity to pass up.
